London wedding photography at Chiswick House

Chiswick House, West London photography

On a bright September Saturday morning, I drove across town to Chiswick to photograph Ellie and Greg’s wedding. I started shooting at the house where Ellie’s make up artist was putting the final touches to her lipstick. Ellie was remarkably calm and collected, as her father struggled with his button hole while watching the Grand Prix – who said men can’t multi-task? I photographed Ellie and her parents outside then quickly moved onto Chiswick House  to get pictures of the boys arriving.

The stunning architecture of Chiswick House give so many possibilities to shoot against. Guests chatted happily on the balcony and soon it was time to be  called into the ceremony room to await the arrival of the bride ad her father. During the ceremony the registrar got Greg and his best man’s name mixed up, which almost led to the wrong man getting married!

The couple looked truly happy as they led their family and guests down the terrace to enjoy Pims and champagne in the afternoon sunshine.

The grounds at Chiswick House are a bit special. I took the couple away for some portrait shots, we used the bridge and woodland and grounds to good effect, there were almost too many locations to explore.

Here are a few black & white and colour pictures for you to enjoy. I do hope to be shooting again at Chiswick House before long.
