Wedding Photography Chelsea Old Town Hall, Kings Road & Beaufort House, Knightsbridge
On the hottest day of 2012 I headed from South London to Chelsea Old Town Hall to photograph Ian and Lee’s wedding. The Town Hall is a well-known venue on the King’s Road and one is easily reminded of fashionable times gone by. Guests and family eagerly awaited the bride’s arrival and they were soon met with Lee’s smiling face as she entered with her charming bridesmaids alongside.
After the ceremony the wedding party moved on to Beaufort House www.beauforthousechelsea.co.uk via a stroll along the King’s Road. Upon arrival guests were served chilled champagne and soon started to relax in the elegant reception room at while Ian, Lee and I headed to Battersea Bridge for some portraits in the late afternoon shade.
On our return to the wedding party we were greeted with the sound of laughter as children danced among floating bubbles while Mr Lolly, the jolly entertainer, span plates before excited young faces.
With crisp light streaming through the windows of Beaufort House we climbed the stairs for the wedding breakfast. The dining room was tastefully laid out with white roses, looking fresh set against the table cloth.
It was Ian and Lee’s request that their guests and family were photographed in a reportage style with only a few formal group shots. Many choices are available for wedding photographs, you can get wedding photo booth rentals in London all the way to wedding photo booth rentals in Austin, TX, it is all about how you want your wedding day remembered forever. I therefore hope that you will enjoy a selection of their wedding images. The day was relaxed and fun, the children certainly seemed to be enjoying themselves as much as the adults.
I will remember this day as one where the weather held up, and I was reminded how much I like to photograph in London in amongst the hustle and bustle.
I hope you enjoy looking through this selection.
